RhythmicTypeX – Supported Keyboard Layouts

The target keyboard layouts are the US (QWERTY) and the German (QWERTZ), but 91 variations of these two layouts also work for this game (7 QWERTZ and 84 QWERTY). See the list of supported keyboards here below:

If your keyboard layout (you can see it in the Windows settings) is not one of the two above and figures in the following list, you will be able to play with letters and custom text that you enter in the game options, but some special characters might not be available and others may be at different places on your keyboard than they appear in the game.

All the supported keyboard variations of QWERTY and QWERTZ are highly similar to the US QWERTY or the German QWERTZ, so you can still have a lot of fun and improve your typing skills with this game. See how similar your keyboard is to its US or German reference Keyboard by comparing their layouts. Here are the lists where you find all of them and click on their links to see the visual displays or your variation and then the same with its reference – US keyboard (0436:00000409) or German keyboard (0809:00000407)) :

NOTE: when looking at the layout displays, you can also see the SHIFT and ALTGR keys by hovering over those keys with your mouse.

Windows 11:

Optionally, you can change your keyboard layout to US QWERTY or German QWERTZ, the game will detect the new keyboard and you will be able to play with your keyboard and that new layout. The US QWERTY layout is good for programming.
